Hey there!! So it was a good week! I still have yet to actually teach an investigator so that's kind of a bummer...but we meet with a lot of the less actives and members so that keeps us busy for the most part. Meeting with the La's can also be kind of discouraging all the time because they know the truth and just don't want to change or listen to us. Haha we go tracting when we have extra time and it's like the worst because no one wants to hear what we have to say ever, and I'm like you guys!! We are trying to change your entire lives and bring you salvation and you act like we are the most inconveniencing people you have ever met!! Interesting enough though if we can get them to just keep the door open for a few seconds moments later they tell us all these super hard trials they are going through...and I just want them to know about the atonement and all the hope that comes along with it and they are just stubborn. But we just have to keep on trying because I know that Heavenly father is working on them with all he has for us, and we never know when they are finally going to be ready to hear it. And super excited for that day! So one of the many great things about I falls is that Sister V a less active lady lives on an island in Rainy lake and she feeds us really yummy food once a week! And she picks us up at the dock and takes us on a boat ride to her Island! It's the best! So beautiful there! I now know that I for sure have to live on my own island sometime in the future. So everyone here asks me if I'm from the south...and I'm like not I'm from Ut..and they are like what the heck? Haha so apparently I sound like some sort of hick or something. So that is lovely.. hahaha church is so different here I wish you could all experience it! There are literally 4-5 people in the Sunday school and relief society not including the missionaries. Me and sister Brimhall and the Elders got to teach primary on sunday and that was fun! And this cute old couple the Frarks feed us dinner ever sunday and we had a fire and got to roast marshmallow's so that was a good time.
One thing that sister Brimhall has really taught me is how much Heavenly Father wants to bless us! Sometimes I get in this mind set that He is just going to keep on giving us trials so that we can learn and grow all the time, which is true, but he also just wants nothing more that for us to be happy! And he is like waiting so patiently to just throw down all these blessing on us, he just needs us to show a little faith by asking for them. He doesn't expect us to be perfect in order to bless us, He knows better than us that that will never be the case :) " God's love flows to not only those who love Him and keep the commandments, but like wise to those that seek to do so" I have also realized how often he answers our prayers and we fail to notice it...so we have been inviting everyone to get a notebook out when you are saying your prayers at night and write down a specific concern that you have or a question and then watch for it, and when you see Heavenly Father answer your question/solve your concern then write that down! It's amazing how much his hand is in our everyday lives. The church is true! And the quality of life that it brings to us is incredible. Lets all try hard to never take for granted how blessed we are with the knowledge of the truth and the opportunity of being raised in the gospel...I have yet to met someone here who isn't a convert, and don't get me wrong they are the best, but in the words of Grandpa Don they don't quite Savvy it all and it causes them a lot of hurt that we don't usually have to deal with when we are raised in it. Sorry that is a little confusing...but you catch my drift right? ;) Love you all muchos!!
